Understand quote statuses

What Draft, Sent, Viewed, Accepted, and Declined mean — so you always know where a job stands without chasing.

About 2 minUpdated Jul 2026

Every quote carries a status that updates on its own as your customer acts. It’s how you tell, at a glance, what needs a nudge and what’s ready to schedule.

What each status means

Here’s the journey a quote takes, and what each label is telling you:

  • Draft — you’re still working on it. The customer can’t see it yet.
  • Sent — it’s on its way and waiting to be opened.
  • Viewed — the customer opened the link. A good moment to follow up.
  • Accepted — they’re in. Time to schedule the work.
  • Declined — they passed, so you can move on without wondering.
  1. Read the status chip

Each quote in your list shows a coloured chip with its status, so you can scan the whole board in a second and see what’s moving.

Acting on a status

Viewed but not accepted is your highest-value follow-up — they’re interested enough to look. Lever can nudge these for you; see Follow up on a quote automatically.
